Catalytica Energy Systems Reports Second-Quarter Financial Results

Catalytica Energy Systems Inc. (Mountain View, CA) reported financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2001. Revenues for the second quarter of 2001 grew to $2,212,000, from $1,158,000 reported for the same period of the prior year. Net loss for the quarter was $2,871,000, or a loss of $0.22 per share. Net loss in the second quarter of the prior year was $2,650,000.
"We are pleased with our performance during the second quarter, which signals that we are continuing to meet our financial targets for the year," stated Craig Kitchen, president and CEO of Catalytica Energy Systems.
