Dinesh Paliwal, head of ABB North America, a subsidiary of ABB Inc. (Zurich, Switzerland), announced that Sandy Taylor has been appointed ABB Canada's President and Country Manager, effective January 5, 2005. Taylor will continue his role as Global Business Unit manager, Oil and Gas, for the Automation Technologies Division.
Taylor has acquired over 20 years' experience working with utility and industrial customers in Canada. Previously, Taylor was head of ABB's Automation Technologies Division in Canada. Prior to the merger of Elsag Bailey with ABB in 1998, Taylor held successively senior positions both in Canada and overseas, where he coordinated activities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
