Universal-Input LED Supplies deliver up to 1400mA

Mean Well Enterprises Co., Ltd. has unveiled the GSC18/25/40 series (18W, 25W, and 40W, respectively) constant current output external LED power supply with built-in power factor correction. For the input side, the IEC320-C8 inlet is adopted for the desktop type (B type), and the 2-pole European plug is exploited for the wall-mounted type (E type). In each case, these power supplies operate from a universal input voltage of 90- to 277-Vac. The output side is equipped with the 2.1x5.5x11mm dc connector which is widely used in the market.

The GSC18/25/40 provide constant-current outputs of 350mA, 500mA, 700mA, 1050mA, and 1400mA, respectively. The design follows the EU ErP (Energy-Related Products) Directive for LED lighting systems- PF value >0.9, setup time <500ms and no load power consumption <0.5W (the no load power consumption of GSC series is lower than 0.15W, much better than the regulation’s criteria). It is also in compliance with EN61000-3-2 Class C (≧50% load) and EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) EN55015.

These units satisfy Class II power unit (no FG) requirements. They have an operating temperature range of -30 to +50 degrees C. They include short-circuit protection and are approved for ENEC/Dekra GS/CB/CE (IEC61347/EN61347/EN55015). The GSC18/25/40 measure (L x W x H): 79 x 54 x 33mm and they come with a 3-year warranty. Suitable applications include indoor LED lighting, office lighting, commercial lighting, decorative lighting or the LED lighting related applications that require the “plug and play” attribute of external power supply.
