Supertex Presents TN2640K4 DMOSFET

January 20, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Supertex Inc. (Taiwan) announced its new TN2640K4 n-channel, enhancement mode DMOSFET, which offers a low threshold voltage of 2V (maximum) that can be operated from logic-level signals, eliminating the need for a level translator. It is housed in a D-Pak package, offering designers the flexibility to use the device in a range of power switching and amplifying applications.

The MOSFET has a high breakdown voltage rated at 400V. It also offers low on-resistance and low input capacitance for fast switching applications. In conjunction with the D-Pak housing, the features increase the power dissipation capability to 2.5W in small, surface-mount footprints. The low input and output leakage improves standby power dissipation while minimizing signal attenuation.

The TN2640K4 is suitable for low-power dc/dc converters and high-voltage Class D amplifiers. It is priced at $0.79 each in 10,000-piece quantities.
