SL Power Electronics Introduces External Power Supplies to Meet Energy Star Requirements

SL Power Electronics Corp. announced that the company has a new offering of external power supplies designed to meet the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Energy Star program requirements. SL Power Electronics manufactures and distributes external power supplies, battery chargers and mobile adapters for the medical, communications, industrial and computer segments of the global power supply market under the Ault brand name.

The specification for Energy Star qualified external power adapters was launched in January 2005 to address the growing energy use from a proliferation of consumer and office electronic products with power adapters. Since that time, many of the Ault-branded products have been redesigned to meet these strict requirements, resulting in an estimated 35% greater efficiency, as well as products that are often lighter and smaller in size than conventional models.

SL Power Electronics is introducing nine new product families in the 6 – 60W power range for medical and ITE/commercial applications that meet the requirements of the Energy Star Program. All of these product families are also RoHS and FCC Class B compliant.
