Single-Output 400W Industrial Power Supplies

MEAN WELL has expanded its EPP family of industrial ac-dc power supplies and raises the output wattage up to 400W within a 5"x3" footprint. The new EPP-400 series features ultra-low no load power consumption (<0.5W) and the less-than-1U low profile design (only 35 mm high) and also delivers EMI Class B for Class I (with F.G.) and EMI Class A for Class II (no F.G.).

These ac-dc power supplies deliver a single output voltage of 12-, 15-, 24-, 27-, 36-, or 48-Vdc plus a 12Vdc / 0.5A auxiliary output. They are suitable for various power enclosures (such as plastic or metal) and can be installed inside the system cabinet. Suitable applications include the industrial electric equipment, electro-mechanical instruments, factory automation systems, or electronic devices which demand low no load power consumption such as autoclave sterilizers.

The EPP series operated with a universal ac input range of 80- to 264-Vac and includes power factor correction. The working temperature range of -30 to +70 degrees C and these power supplies deliver 400W of power with 25 cfm of forced air flow and 250W under convection cooling. Protection functions include short circuit, overload, over voltage, and over temperature. Additional features include: built-in remote sense function, UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE approvals, LED indicator for power on, and a three-year warranty.
