Power-One Releases Compact, 250W Open Frame Power Supplies Launched for Medical Applications

Power-One, Inc. announced the availability of its newest high-efficiency, open frame 250W ac-dc power supplies for the medical industry, the MBC250 Series.

The IEC60601 3rd Edition approved MBC250 Series has a compact 3 x 5" package, and provides 250W of output power with up to 90% efficiency at 230Vac. With approval to Means of Patient Protection (MOPP), the MBC250 is suitable for use in body floating (BF) applications wherein equipment may come in direct contact with the patient, such as blood pressure monitors or ultrasound equipment. While ideally suited to Medical, the MBC250 can also be utilized in other high isolation or low leakage applications.

This new series of Medical power supply utilizes a universal 90 to 264Vac input range with active power factor correction. The power supplies have a low 1U height and provide a single 12, 24 or 48V output.
