March 01, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Narada Battery (China) has debuted a new series of VRLA batteries, the Marathon Purpose Series. The company maintains that the new batteries feature excellent heat dissipation performance. The devices have a patented flexible connector and a patented sealing technology, as well as an ABS lid to contain heat-sealing technology and a lip-shaped safety valve introduced from Germany.

The new Marathon Purpose Series has a design life of more than ten years in float application, with a float voltage of 13.5V and a self-discharge rate of less than 0.08 per day. Narada Batteries claims that the recombination efficiency is 99.9 percent.
