Martek Releases Front End Power Supplies for Datacom and DPA
Martek Power released its T series front-end power supplies, which are hot-swappable, power factor corrected units. Featuring a wide 90-264Vac or 36-72Vdc input range; 12 or 48Vdc (1200 or 1500W) output and a 5V standby output, the new power supply series are designed and ideal for data storage, data communication and distributed power architecture.
The hot plug and active current sharing scheme of the T series enable continuous operation without interruption and redundancy to the 12 or 48Vdc bus. In addition, the I²C management bus enables user to access power supply’s record, power supply’s temperature, fan status, output voltage and current. It also provides warning before shutting down output due to over temperature or fan fail.
The ac-dc front-end power supplies are compact (11.23 x 1.6 x 5.6") enough that three units can be configured into a 1U, 19" shelf rack. According to the company, highly efficient thermal design with internal fans cooling permits their use over a wide temperature range of 0 to +55°C and provides very high reliability. Versions with front-mounted (ATF, DTF) and rear-mounted (ATR, DTR) ac receptacles are available. The T series meets UL/CSA and all international safety requirements.
