Leviton Releases UL-Listed 40A EV Charging Station

Leviton Manufacturing Co, Inc. has unveiled the latest entry to its Evr-Greenâ„¢ line of residential, commercial and public electric vehicle charging systems, the Evr-Green 400 Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Station. The new device provides up to 40A of continuous power at 240 volts AC (9.6 kW output) and enables fast charging of any SAE J1772â„¢ compatible electric vehicle. The charging station is the industry first 40A version to meet and exceed UL, CSA and NEC electric vehicle charging station requirements along with FCC Part 15 of the Federal Communications Commission for Residential Use.

The next generation Evr-Green 400 Charging Station – designed and engineered in the United States – features a modern design aesthetic with enhanced convenience features, such as an integrated connector dock which simulates a gas station nozzle experience. The industry leading 25-foot charging cable provides more flexibility for mounting locations. Including a three-year limited warranty, the charging station is ideal for residential or light commercial applications.

The Evr-Green 400 features a durable, watertight NEMA Type 4 steel enclosure, providing best-in-class protection from weather, and a thermoplastic cover for a clean, attractive look that fits any decor. It features a cord connected installation when used with a Pre-Wire Installation Kit or can be converted to a hard-wired installation if required. The Evr-Green 400 is compatible with the Evr-Green EVK05 Pre-Wire Installation Kit used with Leviton's Evr-Green 300 and Evr-Green 320, making an upgrade even simpler.

Leviton's entire residential family of Evr-Green solutions has an elegant design that enables modularity and common footprint, with carefully selected materials that are environmentally friendly, including lead-free electronics and minimized packaging waste through the use of recycled content.

The Evr-Green 400 Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Station will be immediately available through Leviton's distribution channels: e-store, electrical distributors, retail partners and automakers.
