Lambda Releases New 1000W Power Supply With Output Voltages Of 3.3 To 60V

October 17, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

Lambda Power has introduced a new family of 1000W power supplies. The single-output HWS1000 series are suitable for powering Process Control, ATE, Factory Automation and other equipment where high reliability and extended life under extreme conditions is required. The supplies meet the SEMI F47 power line sag specs, which is mandatory for high volume semiconductor and integrated-circuit (IC) manufacturing equipment.

The units are available in 10 nominal output voltages including: 3.3, 5, 6, 7.5, 12, 15, 24, 36, 48 and 60V. In addition, most models can be adjusted up to +/-20% of its nominal voltage to accommodate non-standard system voltages. The 7 through 60V models have a peak power rating of up to 1200W when operated with a line voltage of 200Vac or higher.

The HWS1000 series accepts a wide range of input voltages from 85 to 265Vac and complies with the EN61000-3-2 power factor and harmonic correction standards. Remote On/Off, DC Good and single-wire Current-Share signals are standard. The power supplies include an integral extended-life fan and can be operated in an ambient temperature range up to -10 to +71°C. The units come in a compact metal case measuring 5 x 3.25 x 9.45", making them suitable for mounting in a 2U rack, if desired.

The new Lambda power supplies meet Class B EMI standards (radiated and conducted), are CE marked and are safety-approved to UL60950, CSA60950, EN60950 and EN50178 specifications. They also meet IEC61000-4-X immunity standards and are RoHS-compliant.

The HWS1000 series are available now with prices starting at $860 each in 50-unit quantities.
