Invensys Powerware Debuts SM60 Power Controller
Invensys Energy Systems, part of the Invensys Powerware (Raleigh, NC) group, released its new SM60 dc power system controller for its Intergy line of dc power systems. The new Intergy SM60 supervisory module incorporates a number of new features designed to decrease total cost of ownership. The Intergy SM60 is supplied pre-configured with a choice of a default configuration file, or factory customized for a specific application. On-site changes can be easily made from the front panel or with a Windows PC using either the free Intergy DCTools configuration software, or remotely with Intergy PowerManagerII remote control and monitoring software.
The Intergy SM60 can send status and alarm messages to any cell phone with short messaging service text capability, a major advantage for maintenance personnel who want to remotely analyze power system status and receive instant notification of any alarms no matter where they are. The front panel of the Intergy SM60 incorporates a back-lit LCD display with easy-to-read characters, while the keypad provides easy access to check or edit settings. The Intergy SM60 menu structure has been designed for easy operation and the unit can be programmed to display systems messages in any language.
