DENT Instruments Launches Wireless Communication Options for Power Meter

June 17, 2013 by Jeff Shepard

DENT Instruments, Inc. announced the introduction of several new communications options for the popular ELITEpro SP recording power meter. Bluetooth® wireless technology, and Wi-Fi connectivity are now available on the ELITEpro SP. Each option adds remote download capability to the highly popular ELITEpro SP meter. The ELITEpro series products have earned a solid reputation among energy professionals as a versatile, dependable, and easy-to-use energy datalogger for single- and three-phase electrical metering projects. All ELITEpro SPs also have USB and Ethernet ports as standard equipment.

Chris Dent, President of DENT Instruments said, "These new communication options—Bluetooth® wireless technology, and Wi-Fi—add to the already extensive feature set of the ELITEpro SP. By selecting a remote communication option, a user can save time and effort when performing remote data downloads."

The ELITEpro SP requires no external power and can work on voltage services ranging from 80-600V. DENT's patented PhaseChek™ circuitry includes a 3 LED indicator display that confirms proper CT to phase installation—greatly reducing set-up time. The ELITEpro SP features an 8MB non-volatile memory for extended recording sessions and user-defined recording intervals as short as every second. The ELITEpro SP™ can be mounted anywhere with its magnetic back and is small enough to be secured inside the electrical panel.

The Windows-based ELOGâ„¢ software package is used to program the meter, display metered values, and retrieve and analyze the collected data. ELOGâ„¢ graphically displays recorded data, performs analysis and facilitates automatic remote data collection. Data is also easily exported to popular spreadsheet and database programs for additional analysis.
