Celeritek Announces CDMA Power Amplifier Module
Celeritek Inc. (Santa Clara, CA) announced the availability of four new 3mm x 3mm x 1mm power amplifier (PA) modules using Passive-Free Technology™ (PFT) for use in code division multiple access (CDMA) wireless handsets and other hand-held systems. Each PA module in the family features 50 ohms input and output matching, and is designed to be compliant with CDMA IS-95, CDMA2000 1x, CDMA2000 1x EV-DO and UMTS air-interface standards.
Targeting markets in Asia, North America and Europe, the new PFT™ family includes the CHP0226 for cellular CDMA (824MHz to 849MHz), the CHP1237 for KPCS (1,750MHz to 1,780MHz), the CHP1238 for CDMA/USPCS (1,850MHz to 1,910MHz) and the CHP2239 (1,920MHz to 1,980MHz) for W-CDMA. All modules are offered in a compact, 3mm x 3mm x 1mm molded package. Using PFT, the modules are only 1.0mm thick, or 20 percent thinner than other PA modules.
Celeritek's CHP0226-X3, CHP1237-X3, CHP1238-X3 and CHP2239-X3 power modules are sampling now. The new PA modules are priced at $1.75 in quantities of 100,000.
