Bourns Significantly Expands SinglFuse Overcurrent Protection Line

Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components, recently announced the completion of a significant expansion of its SinglFuse™ overcurrent protection product line, adding 33 new model series to the portfolio over the last 18 months. A rising focus on safety across many industries has led to increasing requirements for effective circuit protection. Designed to safety standards and to provide reliable overcurrent protection in sensitive circuitry, the expanded SinglFuse portfolio supports a wide range of current and voltage requirements with ratings up to 100 A and 600 V AC. These features meet a broad spectrum of overcurrent protection requirements in applications such as handheld consumer devices, telecom infrastructure, and industrial automation equipment, battery management, and energy storage systems.
The latest SinglFuse products feature a broad variety of fusing speeds and capabilities including fast acting and slow blow, fast-acting precision, time lag, high inrush, high current, and high voltage. Offered in standard EIA package footprints from 0402 to 3812, Bourns® new SinglFuse devices are drop-in replacements for similar fuse products and can easily fit PCB layouts.
The additional breadth in Bourns® enhanced standard SinglFuse product offering enables customers to select an ideal overcurrent protection solution for their design while still meeting aggressive time-to-market schedules. Another advantage from the expanded portfolio is Bourns' ability to rapidly design, develop, and produce custom solutions to meet unique performance specifications. Bourns can now leverage an extensive variety of fuse technologies including ceramic tube wire-in-air, ceramic multilayer, PCB wire core, and PCB and ceramic substrate thin film printing.
