Advanced Energy Rolls Out 3200 W and 3600 W M-CRPS Power Supplies
The company debuts three high-density M-CRPS power supplies—two 3200 W models and one 3600 W model—for AI, data center, networking, and telecom architectures.
Advanced Energy has unveiled three new Common Redundant Power Supply (M-CRPS) units designed to handle the growing power requirements of artificial intelligence (AI), data centers, networking, and telecom architectures. Debuting at the 2026 Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit, the new lineup features power densities exceeding 100 watts per cubic inch (W/in³) and includes two 3200-watt (W) models and one 3600 W model, all built within a standardized, OCP-compliant M-CRPS form factor.
CSU3600AT-9-3M0 is a 3600 W AC-input power supply designed for 54 V systems.
54 V and 12 V Output Architectures
The product line specifically caters to modern, high-demand power architectures, providing engineers with a scalable upgrade path that utilizes a unified mechanical design. Leading the series is the CSU3600AT-9-3M0, a 3600 W AC-input power supply tailored for 54 V systems. Delivering up to 66.7 A on its main output alongside a 12 V standby output, this model provides high-capacity power routing for distributed architectures requiring elevated voltage levels. More information is available in the CSU3600AT-9-3M0 data sheet.

The 3200 W CSU3200AT-3-6M0 is for 12 V output systems.
For 12 V output systems, the 3200 W CSU3200AT-3-6M0 provides up to 262.3 A of main output current. Both the 3600 W and 3200 W AC-input units feature an expansive input voltage range covering 90 to 127 VAC, 180 to 264 VAC, and 192 to 310 VDC, granting flexibility for worldwide deployment. These AC models are 80 PLUS Titanium certified, achieving up to 96% peak efficiency to help lower overall electricity costs in dense computing environments. More information can be found in the CSU3200AT-3-6M0 data sheet.
DC-Input for Telecom and Busbar Infrastructure
Rounding out the release is the CSU3200ADC-3-3M0, a 3200 W DC-input variant engineered specifically for centralized -48 VDC telecom, networking, and OCP busbar infrastructure. Accepting an input range of -40 to -72 VDC, this power supply outputs a regulated 12.2 V at up to 262.29 A. The DC-input model maintains a high peak efficiency of up to 94% and includes a 2-millisecond hold-up time to ensure continuous operation in demanding DC-powered environments. Look for more information in the CSU3200ADC-3-3M0 data sheet.

Compact Form Factor and Digital Management
All three power supplies are housed in a compact 1U enclosure measuring 2.89 by 7.28 by 1.52 inches (73.5 by 185 by 40 millimeters). This 185 mm length frees up valuable system space for core processing components while achieving a maximum power density of 112 W/in³ in specific configurations.
To simplify integration and parallel operation, the M-CRPS series incorporates active current sharing and redundant mode capabilities. Advanced Energy has also integrated comprehensive I²C and PMBus digital control interfaces into the units. These protocols allow system administrators to perform detailed power monitoring, reporting, and control. Furthermore, the units feature zero-trust firmware security and support live, field-upgradable firmware to minimize system downtime and reduce mean time to repair.
Targeting Next-Generation Scalability
Company leadership noted that these latest additions to the M-CRPS portfolio are intended to provide high power density, reliability, and advanced cybersecurity in a uniform physical footprint. By offering a standardized form factor across varied power levels, Advanced Energy aims to help system architects mitigate integration risks, streamline platform development, and ensure a faster time-to-market for next-generation AI platforms, traditional telecom setups, and OCP +48 V busbar rack architectures.
