TRUMPower announces the TAW36 power adapter series, which is compliant with DOE Level VI, ErP Stage II, and NRCan/GEMS Level VI energy efficiency standards. Possible industrial applications for the TAW36 series include electrical devices, network equipment, printers, test equipment, and control systems.
The comprehensive series offers 11 standard single output voltages from 5V- to 48-Vdc with a continuous output power capability from 25- to 36-W. It features a minimum efficiency of 87% at full load and 0.075W no-load power consumption. The standard output connector for the TAW36 series is a 2.5 x 5.5 x 9.5mm barrel plug but, alternate and custom output connectors are available upon request.
The power adapter is approved to UL/IEC/EN 60950-1 2nd edition safety standards and is UL, cUL, CB, CE, TUV/GS, CCC, RCM, and PSE approved. The unit complies with EMC and immunity standards including EN55022 Class B, FCC Class B, EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11, etc.
The power supply is RoHS compliant and accepts a 90- to 264-Vac universal input. Withstand voltage is specified at 3000Vac from input to output. The units can operate at 0 to +40 degrees C ambient temperature and the MTBF is higher than 300,000 hours at full load, 25 degrees C ambient calculated per Telcordia SR-332. Output protections include short-circuit, over voltage, and over load.
