20W 2x1-Inch AC-DCs for Harsh Industrial Environments
Recom's latest ac-dc converter is equipped with a universal input for 90- to 264-Vac, and is pin-compatible with RAC05-SC, RAC06-SC, RAC10-SC and RAC20-SB models for an easy power upgrade or reduced-cost version without other alterations to the PCB. The 20W RAC20-N ac-dc power supply in protection class II has 3.3-, 5-, 12-, 15- and 24-Vdc outputs, and operates at efficiency rates of up to 83%. The low open-circuit power consumption of less than 0.25W complies with the ErP ecodesign directive.
The module’s especially robust construction is suitable for use at a wide range of temperatures from -40 to +70 degrees C. Press-insert nuts ensure secure and vibration-free installation to withstand hard impacts and vibration in harsh operating environments. The module is intended for industrial applications as well as testing and measuring systems and portable units. Short-circuit, overload and overvoltage protection as well as electromagnetic compatibility according to EN55022 Class B round off the features.
These potted modules measure 52.5 x 27.5 x 23.5mm and weigh 62g. Hold-up time ranges from 50ms at 230Vac input to 10ms at 115Vac input. RAC20-N is certified according to IEC, UL and EN60950-1 and bears a CE mark, and comes with a three-year guarantee from RECOM. The converter is now available from the RECOM distribution service.
