200- to 1500-Vdc Input DC-DCs target PV Systems

With the operating voltages of solar arrays reaching up to 1500Vdc, Mornsun has released a 200- to 1500-Vdc wide input voltage PV series, featuring high efficiency, high reliability and higher safety isolation. These dc-dc converters are designed for use in photovoltaic power generation and high voltage conversion and provided a stable operating voltage to the control device.

The PVxx-29Bxx Series is offered in seven models; 10W, 5Vdc output; 15W with a choice of 12-, 15- or 24-Vdc output; and 40W with a choice of 12-, 15-, or 24-Vdc output. These power supplies measure 125 x 75 x 40 mm and have typical weights of 300g for the 15W units and 410g for the 40W units. They meet EN62109.

Features of the new PVxx-29Bxx Series include: Isolation voltage of 4000Vac; Operating temperature range of -40 to +70 degrees C (with derating above 50 degrees C); High efficiency, low ripple and noise; Input under-voltage / Reverse voltage / Output short-circuit / Over-current / Over-voltage Protection; Optional packages include PCB, Chassis mounting, and DIN-Rail.
