Wireless Power

One example of wireless power is a radio. The station transmits power (100,000 watts) and the receiver picks up the signal (0.000,01 watt). OK not a good example but power is transmitted and received.

Another example is my powered tooth brush. Its battery is changed all day long with no wires connected. The distance is very small so much of the power actually makes it to charge the battery. In this case there are coils in the charging station and coils in the tooth brush and they work something like a transformer. (primary coils and secondary coils)
