Trying to switch Electromagnet using MOSFET but Every time while switching MOSFET fails.,
Tried to remove Cgs RC circuit only capacitor then failure reduced.,
Still not able to figure out proper reason.,
Attached the schematic.,
when we removed C2 and C1 no failure.,

The mosfet will heatup by the slow voltage change on the gate of the mosfet.
Also more than 10 volts on the gate will destroi the mosfet.
I see that you try to clamp the voltage on about 5 Volts.
What is the threashold voltage of the mosfet?
For switching you need fast transitions.

Hello,

The datasheet shows 20 Amp at 5 Volts.
That should be fine.
Get rid of the slow transitions.
If you want a delay, use a timing circuit for that.

I tried with 10uF capacitor, again it MOSFET Failed.
could you help me with that calculation power dissipiation and charging capacitor relation. If give some document reference that also helps a lot.
