Vicor's License Agreement with Nortel Networks

Vicor Corp. (Andover, MA) announced that it has entered into a license agreement with Nortel Networks Corp. (Brampton, ON) under which Nortel has acquired non-exclusive rights to use Vicor's patented "reset" technology in its products.Vicor's reset technology, known also as "active clamp" technology, enables design of "zero-voltage switching" power converters which are smaller and more energy efficient than conventional power supplies. The Reset patent was recently reinforced with a reissue of Vicor's U.S. patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office February 16, 1999.
