TXU Announces Officer Resignation and Appointment

July 30, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

TXU Corp. (Dallas, TX) announced the resignation of Brian Dickie, an executive vice president of the company and president of TXU Energy, the North American competitive energy unit. Thomas Baker will assume Dickie's responsibilities. Dickie, who is a UK native, is moving to London to join Investcorp, a global investment group.

"Brian has played a key role in leading TXU's transition as the Texas electricity market deregulated," said Erle Nye, chairman and chief executive of TXU. "We will miss him and wish him every success in his new position."

Baker is currently an executive vice president of the company and president of Oncor Group, the regulated unit of TXU. He has also been a member of TXU executive committees for many years. Baker's position at Oncor will be assumed by Mike Greene, head of Oncor's electric business.
