April 13, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Schaffner Ltd. (Wokingham, UK), a supplier of EMC components and test equipment, announced the appointment of Amir Majedi to its Wokingham office and EMC test facility. Majedi offers increased EMC engineering support for UK customers and will extend the pre-compliance testing facilities Schaffner offers to its customers both in their own screened room and on-site.

Amir has over 10 years experience as a test house manager in sales support and in designing and producing custom EMC and RF products for military and commercial customers. He has also carried out research into electro-magnetic absorbers and has UKAS testing/quality experience.

"We are happy to be increasing our EMC engineering support for the UK at a time when there are continuing developments in directives and standards," commented Schaffner Marketing Manager Andy Kotas. "We are looking forward to making good use of Amir’s project management experience during the design of custom EMC filters. This appointment will also enable us to widen the range of pre-compliance testing we make available to our customers, both on-site and off-site.
