Micrel Names New Vice President Of Analog Marketing

Micrel Inc. announced that Andrew Cowell has been named the company’s new Vice President of Analog Marketing. Cowell will be responsible for overseeing the marketing activities of Micrel’s entire Analog product line, which accounts for more than two-thirds of the company’s revenues worldwide. He will report directly to Ray Zinn, President and CEO of Micrel.

Cowell has more than 16 years high tech experience in the power semiconductor industry and more than 21 years of power design experience. He has been with Micrel for nine years. Cowell started at Micrel as the company’s Marketing and Applications Manager for the power product line. He was more recently the head of Strategic Applications for Micrel with responsibility for new product definition for power products. Prior to coming to Micrel, Cowell worked for Siliconix Semiconductor for five years in various technical positions throughout the world. Prior to Siliconix, Cowell was a power supply designer for Advanced Power Supplies in the United Kingdom.
