Luxon Electronics Expands Monthly Capacitor Production

Luxon Electronics Corp. (Taiwan) announced plans to expand its monthly capacity for V-chip aluminum electrolytic capacitors. The company wants to increase production to 750 million units, from 400 million units, by the end of 2001.

Shou-hwa Tsai, spokesperson for the company, stated that the manufacturing technology for the chip models was acquired from Matsushita (Japan). Tsai says that the company will pay royalties to Matsushita.
