Lambda and BTCP Announce Licensing Agreement

June 02, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Lambda (San Diego, CA) and Broadband TelCom Power Inc. (BTCP, Santa Ana, CA) have announced a licensing agreement on 50A, quarter-brick, dc/dc converters utilizing BTCP's patented Flat Matrix Transformer technology. The agreement allows Lambda to market the products worldwide. Lambda will manufacture the series of high-current, quarter bricks in its automated Malaysian facilities.

"We are very excited about this series of products. Many users of high-density, dc/dc converters are reluctant to embrace leading-edge technology due to the lack of viable second sources," said David Norton, director of marketing for Lambda. "With this agreement, we can provide a true alternative utilizing different factories and different supply chains and leverage Lambda’s true global sales network."
