EPA to Draft ENERGY STAR Battery Charger Specification

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reported that it is working to draft an ENERGY STAR® battery charger specification, which will cover the currently excluded battery charging systems for household appliances and power tools. Efforts are underway to coordinate a stakeholder meeting in June 2005.
