DTE Energy Begins Delivery of ENI 85 CHP System

January 15, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

DTE Energy Technologies Inc. (Detroit, MI) began delivery of the ENI 85, a combined heat and power (CHP) on-site energy system rated at 85kW. As an addition to the energy|now™ line, the ENI 85 can reduce energy costs while increasing energy independence and reliability for commercial and industrial customers.

Featuring a natural gas-fired engine proven through 33,000h of field testing, the low emissions of the ENI 85 meet the strictest California emission standards. The ENI 85 is suited for base-load and waste-heat utilization applications. It also has the capability to support peak-load and full-load requirements, and provides full power in the event of utility outages.

The ENI 85 offers a pre-engineered, packaged design, which reduces up-front engineering, site design and installation costs. With the flexibility to support both indoor and outdoor installations, ENI 85 waste-heat applications can provide both chilled and hot water, enabling commercial and industrial customers to offset natural gas and electricity consumption.
