Delta to Expand Shanghai Power Electronics Center

November 28, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Delta Electronics Inc. (Taipei, Taiwan) announced that it would invest $2.0 million in the expansion of the Shanghai-based Delta Power Electronics Center (DPEC). The DPEC will provide engineering support to the company's China-based plants.

"The purpose of establishing the DPEC is to help alleviate the world's growing demands for reliable and efficient energy," said Bruce Cheng, chairman and CEO, Delta Electronics. "As technologies continue to progress, pollution increases. We can no longer ignore this economic development issue. That is why Delta focuses on green technology with the development of every new product. In that respect, I am confident that the DPEC will make significant contributions in this field."
