Car Charging Group to Charge for Electric Vehicle (EV) Services at Stations Across Country

August 16, 2011 by Jeff Shepard

Car Charging Group Inc., an electric vehicle charging service provider, announced that it will begin charging on an hourly basis for the fueling of EVs at its charging stations across the country.

"While establishing and pursuing our goal of owning and building out a nationwide network of EV charging stations, we offered EV charging services at no cost to promote the use of EVs and EV charging stations," said Michael D. Farkas, Chief Executive Officer of Car Charging Group. "And, while we continue to build out our infrastructure, we’re pleased that the solid core of charging stations we’ve established across the country is strong enough – and the EV market developed enough – that we can now begin charging for EV charging services."

Car Charging Group currently has 29 contracts signed with clients that have over 4,300 locations throughout the USA. Their property owner/manager partners have over 5.3 million parking spaces in their portfolios of properties that range from parking garages, multi family residential properties, commercial properties, shopping malls and municipalities.
