Proton Energy Systems Inc. (Rocky Hill, CT) announced that renowned fuel cell expert Dr. Frano Barbir has joined the company as Director of Fuel Cell Technology and Chief Scientist. In this role, Barbir will lead Proton Energy's efforts to evaluate, develop, operate, commercialize and manufacture appropriate fuel cell technologies to serve the needs of the company's UNIGEN regenerative fuel cell systems.
Barbir joins Proton Energy Systems after nine years with Energy Partners (West Palm Beach FL), where he directed the development of PEM fuel cells and fuel cell systems on numerous externally and internally funded projects.
