Position-Free Multi Device Wireless Charger

New Products Aug 13, 2015 by Jeff Shepard

PowerSquare, Inc. today announced U.S. launch of Tango, its flagship wireless charger using patent-pending Adaptive Position-Free (APF) system that simultaneously refuels multiple Qi-compatible devices. "We are thrilled to introduce the world to Tango," said Pavan Pudipeddi, CEO, PowerSquare. "Our mission is to offer hassle-free, convenient and cost-effective wireless charging to consumers. After years of research and development, the market is now ready for Tango to elevate their digital experiences."

PowerSquare's Tango bridges the fundamental gaps in wireless charging by being the first in the market to allow for free positioning and charging multiple devices at a time. Key features include: A large charging area eliminating the need to properly align the phone on the pad; Optimized design to charge two devices simultaneously; and Compatibility with all Qi compliant devices, extending the enhanced user experience to all early adopters of wireless charging technology.

The APF system uses an array of transmitter coils optimized to provide the best combination of user experience and implementation costs. Other companies demonstrating solutions that provide similar functionality are either cost prohibitive, thereby limiting them to a proof-of-concept mode, or they require changes in smartphone technology.

The APF system is scalable to support multiple devices charging simultaneously and will be extended to support multiple protocols/standards in the future. Tango is available for pre-orders on their website for a promotional price of $79.99 with the first batch shipping in early September 2015.
