Austriamicrosystems Launches AS1352 LDO Regulator

New Products Nov 08, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

austriamicrosystems AG (Graz, Austria) launched its new AS1352, a high-performance, programmable quad CMOS low dropout voltage (LDO) regulator in a single 4 mm x 4 mm package. The AS1352's programmable regulators have been optimized to deliver a compromise between quiescent current and regulator performance for mobile phones, PDAs, MP3 players and other battery-powered devices.

The one-time programmable function of the AS1352 allows engineers to program the output voltage for each regulator on-site in the range from 1.8 V to 3.3 V in steps of 100 mV. Factory trimmed versions are also available. The device offers better than ±2% accuracy of the output voltage, and output currents of 200 mA for each LDO. Stability is guaranteed with ceramic output capacitors of 1 µF (±20%-X5R) up to 4.7 µ (±20%-X5R).

Stand-alone demonstration boards for the AS1352 are available. The AS1352 is available in 12-pin, 4 mm x 4 mm QFN, or in wafer bumping packaging.
