Mean Well has expanded is medical standard power supply line and has unveiled the new 120W RPS-120 series (4" x 2" footprint) in order to further meet the application requirements of the built-in type high output wattage power supplies of medical and biochemical inspection instruments. This series complies with IEC60601-1 3rd version, ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 and TUV EN60601-1 medical related safety regulations, possessing 2 x MOPP isolation level and ultra-low leakage current (<190uA) that is suitable to be applied to various type BF (Body Floating, patient contact type) medical equipment such as hemodialysis machine, medical monitoring system, dental devices, and so on.
Furthermore, with the ultra-low no load power consumption (<0.3W) and efficiency up to 91%, these power supplies help to meet energy-efficiency demands. These power supplies have a universal input range of 80- to 264-Vac, with full rated power delivered from 264-Vac down to 115-Vac input and the n derates linearly to 80% at 80-Vac input. The RPS-120 power supplies comply with EMI Class B for both Class I (with FG) and Class II (no FG) configuration. They feature an operating temperature range of -30 to +70 degrees C and deliver full-rated power sup to 50 degrees C with derating to 40% power at 70 degrees C.
These power supplies have Short circuit/Overload/Over voltage/Over temperature protection functions. The rated output power is: 84W with free air convection cooling and 120W with 10CFM forced-air cooling. A 12-Vdc, 0.5A auxiliary output and an LED indicator for power on are included. RPS-120 power supplies are approved for UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE and come with a three-year warranty.
