Unleaded v Leaded
Melting point of traditional lead eutectic solder (Sn37Pb) is 183°C. Melting point of lead-free eutectic solder (SAC387) is 217°C.

Photovoltaic Power - Specifically Output
I am not certain what you are asking. There are small lights to put in the yard. They collect electricity in the day and store it in a battery. At night the battery powers lights to light the sidewalk. In this case power stays in one spot. Some houses have solar cells on the roof. In many...

LED Driver Flickering
Does your eyes see the ripple? or is it only on the scope? What frequency of ripple? (time or frequency) Some LED drivers turn on/off the LED at about 1khz. For half power the LED is latterly off 50% of the time. Other LED drives reduce the current to 1/2. Until I understand what type of...

Amps of a car battery
A wrench is not designed to conduct electricity. It does conduct but not predictable. It might be wet/dry, oily, dirty, new/old. There are too many unknowns. The battery has a "internal resistance" that limits the current under a short. This resistance changes with time, temperature, how...

Reducing Ripple Control
How many volts (or mV) of ripple is OK? What is the output current? and Voltage? Where are you measuring the voltage? DC or AC?

250A Mosfet switch over 250A DC Contactor.
solid state relay I found these using SCRs not MOSFETs. 150A. Price is not good.

MOSFET Integration
What is the power for the SSD drive? 5V or 12V? What else does this supply power? Putting the MOSFET in the ground side of the supply is most simple and would work well for a LED or light bulb but I think it will not work for a SSD drive. It is typical for all the grounds in a system to be...

Wireless Power
One example of wireless power is a radio. The station transmits power (100,000 watts) and the receiver picks up the signal (0.000,01 watt). OK not a good example but power is transmitted and received. Another example is my powered tooth brush. Its battery is changed all day long with no...

I like digikey.com, mouser.com, These are ok but be careful; amazon.com, alibaba.com Some people have troubles with ebay.com.

Curious. GaN or SiC?
GaN or SiC That depends on what you want to do. SiC can be high voltage while GaN is lower. I only know of one 900V GaN, most are 600V and down. Some SiC are up to 3000 volts. GaN is faster. It is a little hard to make work because of the speed. -----------------edited------------------ What...

Switching to Higher Current w/ MOSFET
I don't understand why you want a higher Vgs? Many parts are good for +20 to -20V. This part is good for +/-30V. data sheet Your part is turned on hard at 8V. Increasing to 30V does not help.

Power Supply Op Amp
The data sheet indicates that more than about 1V reverse might kill the amplifier. (each type of amp has different specifications) Certainly reverse voltage is beyond what is safe. There is a chance the amp is OK. You will just have to test/try the op-amp and see. My guess is that you killed it.
