Bootstrap Gate Driver Question
Please post a schematic. You can see " cathode to the anode " and we can not see anything.

A amplifier can be horribly non linear, and produce a very linear output when you add feedback and have the open loop gain much larger than the feedback gain. Op-amp is a prime example.

Thoughts on This USB Relay Board
I have two boards that look very much like this. 8 relays, No USB connector. I think I got mine form China. Works ok. I don't know this board.

Are Internal Gate Drivers Worth it?
Internal Gate Drivers? Are you looking at gate drivers and MOSFETs in the same package? If you are using GaN transistors it is a real help because gate drive is not easy.

link Some reading. Example: you have 10V and want to buck it down to 5V, use 0.5 duty cycle.

Resistance match?
Something to read I thought I could find a 40 ohm sender but could not. You could put 4.4 of the 177 ohm senders in parallel. (lol)

Project for small fan and 18650 batteries
Battery should last for about 5 hours. I do not have the data sheet on the fan. It should work fine.

Resistance match?
Probably not. Do you have a schematic for the gauge? Do you want to read all temperatures or do you just want to know the 212F point?

Heat Sink Questions
Yes. The heat sink might be connected to "ground" and emit very little. OR It might be connected to a power transistor (MOSFET) that is switching very fast. In the last case the heat sink adds a antenna to the source of noise.

Staco Energy Products Company used to make a 0.8A version "252" They has a 1.75A version "271". I think they are not in production now.

Using Synchronous Rectifier in Boost Converter
The Rds on needs be low enough that the voltage drop across the MOSFET is much lower than one diode drop. (0.7V) If the voltage drop (current resistance) approaches what a diode does then it is a waste of time.

Voltage Limit
I need more information. What IC is looking at the signal? What is it's supply voltage. Are you measuring the voltage from 0 to 5.000V? Or is it a "TTL" signal, 1 or 0 situation? Part of what I want to know is how close to 5V do you need the signal limited to. Example if you are looking at...

DC-DC Converter Topology
Where did you find a 5V 200A source of power? Extending the 5V down to 2.7V at 400A makes the design harder. Some times we break up the project into four 250 watt supplies running in parallel. or maybe 10 x 100 watt supplies.
