Transistor Devices Inc. (TDI, Hackettstown, NJ) announced that its 208Vac input Gemini Series power system has recently been awarded NEBS Level 3 certification through MET Laboratories (Baltimore, MD). The NEBS certification for the Gemini Power System included EMI/EMC, temperature, humidity, altitude, fire, earthquake, vibration, lightning surge and power fault testing.
The certifications issued by MET Laboratories conforms to Bellcore NEBS requirements GR-63-CORE, GR-1089-CORE and GR-78-CORE, all which are recognized by the Regional Bell Operating Companies.
The 208Vac input Gemini dc power system is rated for up to 10,000A and is suitable for many high-current, –48V, telecommunication applications. The power bays feature hot-bus plug-in, switch-mode, modular rectifiers with –48Vdc output rated at 100A with power-factor correction.
