Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (San Jose, CA) announced that Dan McCranie has joined its board of directors. McCranie served as Cypress’ Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing from 1993 to 2001, and is Chairman of the Board at ON Semiconductor (Phoenix, AZ).
McCranie, who is to replace John Lewis (who chose not to seek re-election as a member of the Cypress board), brings more than 35 years of high-tech experience. Lewis is to retire from all Cypress board activities on April 29, 2005. McCranie also serves as Chairman of the Board of Virage Logic and is a member of the board of Actel Corp. He was previously Chairman of the Board of Xicor Inc., and has served on the boards of California Micro Devices and ASAT Holdings Ltd.
