Lucent Technologies Completes Sale of Power Systems Business to Tyco International

Lucent Technologies (Murray Hill, NJ) recently announced that it completed the sale of its Power Systems business to Tyco International Ltd. (Bermuda) for $2.5 billion. The companies had announced their agreement for the sale on November 13, 2000.
Lucent noted that, as the company focuses on the broadband and mobile Internet markets, the Power Systems business will be best positioned in a company serving the electronics and power industries.
