DOE and USFCC Announce Fuel Cell Systems Workshop

January 26, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

The US Department of Energy's (DOE, Washington, DC) Office of Hydrogen, Fuel Cells and Infrastructure Technologies and the US Fuel Cell Council (USFCC, Washington, DC) jointly announced a workshop matching suppliers of portable fuel cell power systems with potential federal government users, including the Department of Defense. The workshop will be held on March 9, 2005, in Washington, DC.

The workshop will facilitate the deployment of commercial systems by bringing potential users from the military and other federal government sectors together with technology developers to ensure that there is a match between system performance and operational requirements. The workshop will feature brief presentations by governmental agencies summarizing their needs and system requirements from an operational perspective, followed by one-on-one sessions between the governmental agencies/users and suppliers for more in-depth discussions.
