Daihatsu to Lend Hybrid Mini Cars to Local Governments

Daihatsu Motor Co. (Osaka, Japan) announced that it will begin lending out five electric-gasoline hybrid mini vehicles free of charge to Osaka prefectural and municipal governments early next month. Daihatsu said the vehicles, based on the Hijet Cargo commercial mini vehicle, are the first hybrid mini car models designed for practical use.
