600W 3"x 5” Modular Field Configurable Power Supply

Gresham Power Electronics, the Salisbury based Defense and Commercial power conversion specialist, has been appointed as a UK distributor for the leading high power density modular range of power supplies from VOX Power.

Most significant among the VOX Power range is the NEVO+ 600 Series which delivers 600 Watts of output power without the need for derating at line voltages above 120Vac. This makes the NEVO+ suited for products intended for the global market. Through the implementation of a fan control circuit the NEVO+ reduces cooling fan noise in applications with low ambient sound levels.

Producing 600W from a 600gm, 3”x5”, 1U package the NEVO+ 600 consists of an input module which may be configured in the field with up to 8 isolated output modules. The NEVO+ series carries full UL60950 Ed2 safety approvals and complies with EN61000-3, EN61000-4 and EN550022-B EMC standards, is RoHS compliant and has a 2 year warranty. Typical applications for the NEVO+ 60 include industrial, instrumentation, medical, high reliability and MIL/COTS systems.

Key features include no line derating above 120W, high power density at 25W/cubic inch, reduced fan noise, high efficiency up to 89%, accurate current sharing, I2C control option, remote current /voltage programming, 5Vdc bias supply and a current output signal.

VOX also offers a higher-wattage product in the NEVO family that delivers up to 1200 Wats with no derating for North American input voltages. It fits in a 6″ x 6″ x 1U Footprint, is UL60950 2nd Edition safety certified and complies with EMC Standards EN61000-3, EN61000-4 and EN550022-B. The 1200W units offer a power density of 21 W/ cubic inch. With a weight of 1.2kg they deliver 1kW per kg and include remote current / voltage programming.
