Schaffner EMC Intros New SMR4518 Receiver

July 07, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Schaffner EMC Inc. (Edison, NJ) introduced its new SMR4518 EMI measuring receiver that is fully compliant with CISPR 16 Part 1 and offers an extended frequency range of 9kHz to 18GHz. The SMR4518 is suitable for EMC testing laboratories, military and automotive standards testing, and commercial EMC testing applications.

The SMR4518 has a measurement accuracy of less than 1.5dB for the 9kHz to 1,005MHz range, under 2.0dB for the over 1,005MHz to 2.75GHz range, and less than 2.5dB from over 2.75GHz to 18GHz. The SMR4518 has a resolution of 100Hz, a frequency accuracy of 10 to 6, an operating temperature of 0 to 45 degrees C, and a storage temperature of -20 to +60 degrees C. Pre-selection and auto-ranging provides over-ranging protection on pulse measurement across the EMI measuring receiver’s full frequency range, as well as high-image frequency suppression from 2.75GHz to 18GHz.

Pricing for an SMR4518 starts at $61,780. Delivery is 8 to 10 weeks ARO.
