As SiC traction inverters operate at higher switching frequencies, accurately measuring small changes in power loss and efficiency becomes increasingly difficult. Phase error, limited sampling performance, and current sensor behavior can produce unstable readings, inconsistent test results, or even physically impossible efficiency values.

This technical white paper explains why high-frequency, low-power-factor components are especially sensitive to measurement error and why analyzer specifications alone do not guarantee reliable results. It also examines the importance of wide-band phase accuracy, high-speed sampling, sensor integration, and phase correction across the complete measurement chain.
