I'm looking for info on how to install motor overload protection on a residential automotive lift motor/pump unit. Motor is 230v, 1Ph, 3HP, FLA 11.9A. The motor/pump assembly is factory assembled with starter button and power pigtail on the unit. Pig tail is 2 hots(120v + 120v) and a ground. The unit is NOT thermally protected and does not have an external starter so there is no way to add heaters. Ideas???
