Yamaha E-Scooter Sells 300 Orders in Japan

Yamaha Motor Co. (Tokyo, Japan) announced that it has received 300 orders for its Passol electric scooter in the first two weeks of sales, more than half the target. Yamaha Motor began accepting orders for the domestically made electric scooter, to be released in November 2002, via the Internet on October 9, 2002, hoping to sell only 500 units.
