Power Technology Inc. (Las Vegas, NV) recently announced that developments with Douglas Battery (Winston-Salem, NC) are progressing. Power Technology and Douglas Battery are in active discussions on technical assistance, disposition of rights of technical information, processes and products developed.
According to the companies, evaluations are being conducted to demonstrate the economic feasibility of batteries and electrical devices incorporating Power Technology's proprietary reticulated alloy and metallic alloys. Douglas Battery and Power Technology are also discussing terms and conditions of a business relationship between the two parties.
Power Technology's ultimate desire is to optimize its environmentally friendly nickel-ferrous battery to compete head-to-head with lead-acid, nickel-metal hydride, lithium and zinc-air, on a power density, weight, environmentally friendly, life expectancy and cost-per-watt-hour basis.
