Exide Technologies (Reading, PA) announced that it has signed an exclusive two-year agreement to supply Pacific Automotive (Elizabeth, Australia) with transportation batteries. Pacific Automotive, a division of Pacific Dunlop Ltd., operates more than 570 retail outlets under the names Repco and Autopro.
"The two-year supply agreement, retroactive to November 2000, is a significant achievement and a profitable alliance for Exide in the Australasia region," said Craig H. Muhlhauser, CEO of Exide Technologies.
Exide Technologies will be the exclusive supplier of transportation batteries to Pacific Automotive retail outlets, representing projected annual sales of AU$13.5 million.
