Energy Conversion Technologies Inc. (ECTI) reported that it has secured an order from a well-known and established original equipment manufacturer for the ECTI Model GM-6115 motor and control system. The order, valued at $230,000, was received through the company’s NEXUS Engineering Inc. (Kingwood, TX) affiliate as part of a larger commitment valued at $910,000.
The GM-6115 motor and control system represents an industrial implementation of ECTI's technology, which has been tested by the customer for over 1,000,000 cycles of operation, representing in excess of seven years of operation in actual usage. The customer expects this application of ECTI's technology to give its product line a significant market advantage in terms of price and performance.
Shipments for this order are scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2002.
